John J. Lisowski, CA
John is a Chartered Accountant and was a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP for over 25 years until he retired in 2004. During that period, he was the managing partner of the Ottawa office and its audit and assurance practice and was responsible for a variety of clients, both public and private, principally in the technology and sports and entertainment sectors. Companies such as Corel Corporation, Digital Equipment Corporation, JDS Uniphase Corporation, JetForm Corporation, Kinburn Capital Corporation and many others all benefited from John's expertise and advice.
John is acknowledged as an expert in the complex revenue recognition rules applicable to the software industry and his experience in mergers and acquisitions is exceptional.
Over his career, John was actively involved in the raising of in excess of $5 billion of financing for a variety of companies and projects, including the merger of JDS Fitel and Uniphase Corporation and the construction of ScotiaBank Place, the home of the Ottawa Senators National Hockey League Club.
