Solutions Architect
As a Solutions Architect for N-able Technologies you are responsible for providing pre-sales and post-sales support and training to potential and existing customers.
The individual in this position must have strong technical, communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written. The ability to work with customers under a variety of circumstances and understand and meet customer expectations is a requirement. The individual must be a self-starter with strong problem solving skills. A passion for how networking technology delivers business value and an interest in working in an exciting, fast-paced environment with leading edge technology is also desired.
This position is ideally suited for a field technician who aspires to become more business-oriented. Although this is a technical position, it is not a "techie" position.
Responsibilities:
Pre-sales activities include:
- Work with Account Managers to define and execute a sales strategy that creates a long-term relationship with the customer.
- Assess a Partner's technical needs, issues and requirements. Develop and manage a plan to meet those needs.
- Configure N-able's products to build compelling demonstrations.
- Manage pilot evaluations and help provide technical assistance during the evaluation process.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and RFPs.
- Assist product development in testing new product offerings.
- Represent N-able's technology at seminars and trade shows.
Activities related to post-sales professional services include:
- Assess and investigate client requirements during deployment.
- perform system assessments, design, implementation, refinement and testing.
- Consult with customers to define and deliver the appropriate solution using Industry's best practices.
- Problem identification and resolution during deployment.
- Proposal creation and project documentation.
- Deliver formal and informal Product Training.
Must be willing to work on projects at unanticipated sites throughout the U.S. and travel 20% to 30% of the time.
Qualifications:
Understanding and experience in the following areas is required:
- Two Vendor Certifications (MCSE, CCNA, CNE, CCSE, etc.).
- 3–5 years experience in a pre or post sales role for a technology company and/or 3–5 years field experience as a networking technician.
- Ability to convey product message and value proposition through technical demonstrations, trade show demonstrations, and on site training engagements.
- Ability to create a total solution for the customer with a mix of software products and technical innovation.
- Knowledge of the IT Process Maturity Model.
- Experience in a consulting environment is an asset.
- Experience with software concepts such as APIs.
- Proven discipline, teamwork and a passion for technology.
- Strong communication, presentation, and client management skills required.
- Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing and implementing skills which allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date.
- Must be able to effectively handle stressful situations.
- An ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Must be able to read and effectively interpret general business documentation.
- Valid and current driver's license
