This is a role for a Junior Software Developer with some work experience in the IT field or recent university grads. The succesfull candidate must love to program and learn new skills, have a desire to work with Java, Struts and Dojo in a web based application and to understand and maintain existing Java code base.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
• Hands on experience with Java programming
• Technical knowledge of web based applications in a Java J2EE environment, utilizing technologies such as Servlets, MVC, JSP using Struts framework
• Familiar with Design Patterns
• Experience in Object Oriented analysis, design, development and integration of software products
• Technical knowledge of Javascript, XML and JSON.
• Technical knowledge of Web services (SOAP, Axis)
• Excellent analytical, debugging and problem solving skills.
• Team player and must be able to work well in a fast paced environment
• Must be able to learn quickly with minimal supervision
• Strong written and verbal communication skills: able to facilitate your own meetings as necessary, comfortable working with all levels of the organization
• Ability to resolve functional & technical issues independently

Experience in the following a plus:

• Hands on experience in developing web based applications in a Java J2EE environment, utilizing technologies such as Servlets, MVC, JSP
• Hands on experience with Struts 1 and/or Struts 2 framework
• Experience in Object Oriented analysis, design, development and integration of software products
• Javascript, XML, JSON
• Hands on experience with Dojo framework
• Deployment and configuration of applications on Apache, Tomcat and Jetty servers
