N-able Technologies Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic and detail oriented person, who is passionate about Quality Assurance as a position and a career choice, to join our dynamic team of Software Quality Assurance specialists. As a member of this team, you will ensure quality releases through effective planning, design and implementation of advanced testing concepts and procedures in an automated environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of databases, understanding of application servers, web technologies and a variety of operating systems. We are looking for a dynamic individual who possesses strong trouble shooting skills, excellent communication skills and is able to work effectively with other R&D groups.

Responsibilities:

• Validate design specs
• Design, write, and execute test plans and test scripts for assigned features
• Analyze and document test results; file defect reports and enhancement requests
• Continually provide feedback on usability of the feature and how it fits into the product as a whole

Qualifications:

• A degree in computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar discipline
• 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Testing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Programming experience in Java, C/C++, .NET or similar, would be an asset
• Solid background in one or more scripting languages (Bash, Power Shell)
• Strong experience with Web Services and Web Service oriented architecture
• Working knowledge of Windows variants including XP/2003/Vista is required
• Experience with one or more UNIX variants and/or Linux is required
• Experience with query languages and relational databases (MS SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres SQL)
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes
• Working knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office, HTML
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum would be considered an asset
