Careers: Sales Engineer
As a Sales Engineer for N-able Technologies you are responsible for providing pre and post sales support and training to potential and existing Partners in the North America. The individual in this position must have strong technical, communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written and must be a self-starter with strong problem solving skills. The ability to work with prospects under a variety of circumstances to understand and meet prospects expectations is a requirement. The ideal candidate must have excellent oral and written English communication skills. A passion for how networking technology delivers business value and looking to work in an exciting, fast paced environment with leading edge technology.
This position is ideally suited for a Field/Network Technician and/or System Administrator who aspires to become more business oriented.
Responsibilities:
Pre-sales activities include:
- Pre-Sales product demonstrations via web-meeting over the internet
- Manage pilot prospect evaluations and provide technical assistance during the evaluation process
- Provide pres-sales support via online support tool
- Provide trial orientations and walkthroughs focusing on N-able's strengths and capabilities
- Field competitive questions as they arise.
Post-sales activities include:
- Work with Partners to assess and address client requirements during deployment N-able's remote monitoring and management solution.
- Offer Design and configuration best practices to partners when deploying N-able products to Partner's networks
- Problem identification and resolution during deployment
- Deliver product training to both Partners and support staff, where needed
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years experience as a field/networking technician or System Administrator
- Desirable industry certifications (MCSE, CCNA, etc.)
- Ability to affectively convey the product message and value proposition through technical demonstrations, trade show demonstrations, and onsite training engagements
- Strong communication, presentation, and client management skills required
- Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing and implementation skills which allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date
- Thrive in dynamic fast passed work environment
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
Required Skills:
Protocols
- TCP/IP, SMTP, POP, IMAP, SSH, DHCP, NNTP, WINS, POP3, HTTP
- Strong networking experience
- Strong understanding of WMI – How Operating Systems and Applications reference performance class counters
- Strong understanding of SNMP and how to traverse the Host-Resources MIB for index variables
Software
- Familiarization with products WSUS, Backup software, Vulnerability Assessments
Firewalls
- Understanding of Firewall capabilities and relationship into a networking environment
- Familiarization with industry leading gateway firewall devices
