With SolarWinds N-able Backup Manager, in the event of a system down event you can perform a recover of the system to bare hardware or within a VM Guest using their Bare Metal Restore feature. For more information on BMR for more information on BMR consult the Online help of your N-central server.
In order to perform Bare Metal Recovery you must first download or create the appropriate ISO file.
D2D R16 Update 7 and earlier
For installs of backup manager engine version R16 Update 7 and earlier use the BMR link below:
D2D R16.5 and later
For installs of backup manager engine version R16.5 or later there is a new mechanism of BMR ISO creation. The reason for this is that windows has deprecated support for WinPE, the environment used by the previous ISO. In this version an ISO or Boot kit can be created at the source machine.
