At N‑able\u2019s recent Empower partner event in Prague, we took the opportunity to ask some Cove Data Protection<\/a> users what they actually think about the product. Naturally, we were pleased to hear so many positive comments, but we also found that their reasons for choosing Cove varied, as did the capabilities they value most. <\/span><\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a little sample. <\/span><\/p>\n

Thijs Mos, founder and CEO of Netherlands-based IT Synergy<\/a><\/span>, says that with Cove he\u2019s found \u201cthe Valhalla of backup.\u201d They previously had nearly a dozen different backup products in use, and looked carefully for one solution they could use across the board, for all their customers and all their data sources. \u201cWith Cove we have one tool to back up everything,\u201d he said. \u201cWork is much easier now, and we really loved the support we got during onboarding.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

James Cripps, CEO of Enhanced in Dorset, UK,<\/a><\/span> was initially interested in Cove because it was commercially more attractive than their previous backup product, but now sees the major benefit in time savings. \u201cI think one of the most difficult things, if you\u2019ve got a lot of servers and services for your clients, you have to constantly look at staffing costs versus margin,\u201d James explained. \u201cIf you can spend less time having to service something, that\u2019s a better place to be. Cove is very reliable, and has saved us time.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Simon Beckett, managing director of DynaCom IT Support Ltd, also based in UK<\/a><\/span>, echoes the importance of time savings with Cove. \u201cThe key impact of Cove on our business is consistency\u201d\u2014it works the way we work. We have a single dashboard across multiple types of services, and we can do test restores really, really easily with Cove, which gives us confidence, gives our customers confidence, and saves us massive amounts of time,\u201d Simon commented. \u201cLet\u2019s be honest, who doesn\u2019t want some time back? I don\u2019t know any business owner who says, \u2018I\u2019ve got too much time\u2019.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Lee Robinson, co-founder and director of Meta Eagle, in Birmingham, UK<\/a><\/span>, chose Cove because as an engineer himself, he\u2019s had a lot of experience with other backup products, and knows just how troublesome and time-consuming some of them can be. \u201cCove just works. It\u2019s easy,\u201d Lee said. \u201cIt\u2019s a great product. You get a holistic view of what\u2019s backed up, of what errors there might be. In our office we\u2019ve got it on a big monitoring screen, so we can see what\u2019s going on in real time. We\u2019re able to be proactive and be sure the backups are going to work, and therefore when and if we need to do a restore, we can be confident.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
