We\u2019re pleased to announce that N‑able\u2122<\/sup> Mail Assure<\/span><\/a> has received a top result in an independent test conducted by the Virus Bulletin<\/span><\/a>, an industry-renowned test laboratory and an important reference for specialists and businesses concerned with computer security.<\/p>\n

So, what exactly is this test and how did Mail Assure achieve such a great score?<\/p>\n

Zero false positives <\/b><\/p>\n

Our email security solution received the highest VBSpam+<\/b> rating<\/a> in September 2021, from the VBSpam test that considers various types of unwanted and dangerous email, with a malware catch rate of 100% and zero false positives.<\/p>\n

Mail Assure was also recognized for its ability to process all messages in less than 30 seconds per message, correctly identifying all messages containing malware.<\/p>\n

Testing methodology <\/b><\/p>\n

The Virus Bulletin tested eight full email security solutions, one custom-configured solution, one open-source solution, and one blocklist. All were assembled on the test bench and their performance was compared to that of various streams of wanted, unwanted, and malicious emails, for a period of 16 days.<\/p>\n

With fewer malware and phishing emails seen in the wild while this test ran, the challenges came from non-English phishing campaigns and short-duration malware campaigns.<\/p>\n

Overall, Mail Assure achieved the second-highest score (99.84) for the quarter among all products taking part.<\/p>\n
