Elite List Champions Unsung Heroes in the IT Channel; SolarWinds MSP VP of Product Management Recognized for Driving MSP Success through Platform and Product Innovation
North Carolina – October 9, 2017 – SolarWinds MSP, a global leader in delivering comprehensive, scalable IT service management solutions to IT solution providers and MSPs, today announced its vice president of product management, Greg Lissy, has been recognized by CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company®, as one of the top “100 People You Don’t Know But Should” in the IT channel. Lissy originally debuted on this list in 2011 as the Microsoft® Director of SMB Channel Strategy and is pleased to be a part of the SolarWinds MSP executive team and serving the business IT needs of channel partners.
“SolarWinds MSP works hard to enable its MSPs to be the best in the business and that doesn’t happen without continued investment in technology innovation, business acumen, relationship building, and support services,” said Lissy. “I am thrilled to be a part of the SolarWinds MSP team and honored to be back on this list of executives channel partners should know.”
The “100 People You Don’t Know But Should” list is compiled each year by CRN editors and is based on their assessment of feedback from solution providers and other industry executives. The list is designed to celebrate under-the-radar channel management team members from the industry’s top vendors and distributors. Those selected by CRN have worked tirelessly to create, promote, and manage programs and policies that support and advance the IT channel. SolarWinds MSP executives have been featured consistently on the list through the years.
“Greg leads our efforts when it comes to platform and product innovation, and under his leadership, our product management team is laser-focused on how to use and evolve our technology to help MSPs worldwide be more proactive and efficiently manage IT services faster, better, and differently,” said John Pagliuca, general manager, SolarWinds MSP. “Our thanks to CRN and The Channel Company for recognizing Greg’s contributions to the IT channel overall and to our community of more than 20,000 channel partners worldwide.”
Under Lissy’s leadership, SolarWinds MSP continues to advance its product roadmap. Recently, the company launched SolarWinds®Backup Documents to provide IT service providers the capability to protect key files at an affordable price point and revolutionize workstation data backup processes. In July, it also launched its MSP Manager mobile app, giving technicians instant access to all support tickets and customer information on their mobile devices to quickly resolve issues from any location, at any time.
“A number of unsung channel heroes work hard every day to drive innovation, profits, and successful partnerships, holding the IT ecosystem’s equilibrium steady and keeping it on a path to growth,” said Robert Faletra, CEO of The Channel Company. “They may not often share the spotlight with more high-profile channel figures, but the difference they make is irrefutable. We are pleased to shine a light on these individuals with CRN’s 2017 list of ‘100 People You Don’t Know But Should’ and to honor their essential contributions to the channel.”
The 2017 list of “100 People You Don’t Know But Should” will be featured in the October issue of CRN and can be viewed online at www.crn.com/100people.
