It is truly the only Windows and Apple hybrid RMM that can be recommended by us on the market.

Challenge

Out of a Jam Solutions needed legitimate support for Apple devices, as opposed to what they felt was a token attempt at “reporting”. The company evaluated all platforms on the market available to manage Apple devices, including everything from cross-platform RMM tools such as NinjaOne and Kaseya all the way to solutions such as Addigy, Jamf, and Mosyle. “Most RMM services provide either no, or very limited, support for Apple devices. Others provide quality services but are specific only to Apple devices, meaning you now have to use multiple services to monitor and maintain your fleet,” Michael points out.

Solution

Out of a Jam Solutions evaluated several service providers before selecting N‑sight for the robust features and functionality it offered for
multiple devices.

“We settled on N‑sight because we identified it as a tool that would allow us to manage and monitor various environments and devices. The 24/7 support was also a key factor in our decision,” says Michael.

Risultati

Michael says that they find all the features of N‑sight to be of value and believes that N‑sight is the only professional cross-platform RMM on the market that offers a significant level of support for Apple devices. In particular, the ability to use Take Control for remote SSH sessions, robust script scheduling and running, and full automated third-party software patching gives an extremely compelling set of tools to admins. He also finds the integration with Cove Data Protection to be very helpful.

“We handle around 150 tickets per month and N‑able is a part of resolving almost all of them,” Michael says. “Almost all our contractual requirements are handled by scripts and automation, requiring almost no manual intervention.”

Unlike many MSP’s, Out of a Jam doesn’t use N‑sight in a silo. Michael points out that, “Anyone serious about managing Apple devices needs a full-featured MDM in an enterprise environment. One of the strengths of N‑sight is the ability to run without its MDM component, using only the agent. This means we can set up an MDM that belongs to the client and still have the devices in our own portal for monitoring and patching.” The company has also seen business growth and the ability to launch new services as a result of standardizing on N‑sight. “All of our marketing focuses around keeping devices up to date. We have been growing 20% year over year and N‑sight is a key part of that growth,” Michael explains. “We are also starting to roll out a residential ‘Monitoring and Maintenance’ subscription plan, and N‑sight is a cornerstone to that.”

Partnership

Beyond features, functions, and technology, Michael finds that having a dedicated Partner Success Manager is a major benefit. He believes that N‑able values the input of partners and has a vested interest in their success.

“N‑able continues to invest in supporting the product and is working towards feature parity between platforms, which is great to see in the Windows/Apple support space. It is truly the only Windows and Apple hybrid RMM that can be recommended by us on the market,” Michael concludes.
