Advancing Women in Tech: Championing Women’s Leadership with Chief

At N‑able, we are intentional about placing Diversity, Equality, and Belonging (DEB) at the forefront of our company and embedding it at the core of our culture. DEB is a top priority for us, and we recognize that it’s an ongoing journey we’re on together.
As we’ve built our DEB strategy, we’ve placed an emphasis on a few key areas that have supported us along our journey—one of those being the advancement of women in the tech industry. That starts with women in leadership.
This International Women’s Day, we are honored to share that we have three of our women leaders representing N‑able within the Chief, a membership network for women executives that serves to provide championship, development, and networking opportunities to further advance other women.
Our investment towards this opportunity serves as a vow for our continued commitment to our Diversity, Equality, and Belonging and to taking action to support powerful women leaders.
Our membership delegates—Kathleen Pai, EVP, Chief People Officer, Laura DuBois, GVP, Product Management and Casandra Brice, VP, Customer Success—will not only represent N‑able within Chief, but also leverage the membership to bring information and resources back to women at N‑able while offering mentorship and support.
“Making this investment shows our continued commitment to Diversity, Equality, and Belonging
by supporting our women leaders and, in turn, helping develop our future leaders. At N‑able, we think
of Diversity, Equality, and Belonging from a truly global perspective, especially in leadership, and Chief provides
that strong global network for women to strengthen their leadership, magnify their influence, and help
pave the way for those who will follow in the future.”

Developing the women leaders of today… and tomorrow
Chief is specially designed for women in the C-Suite, senior executives, and accomplished VPs to strengthen their leadership, magnify their influence, and pave the way to bring others with them. The membership will serve to help our leaders champion more high-performing women at N‑able.
“I’ve been at N‑able for six months and am super impressed with the high-performing female talent
I see in the company. It’s exciting to see N‑able’s focus on DEB in action and I am grateful for
this opportunity with Chief. In keeping with our commitment through this membership, I’m
thrilled to have aligned with a stellar mentee and provide a safe place for feedback and growth.”
Laura DuBois, GVP, Product Management and Strategy
Defining and driving Diversity, Equality, and Belonging for women in tech
Simple, yet impactful, clearly defining what Diversity, Equality, and Belonging means for N‑able has been one of the most critical and transparent ways we’ve been able to embed DEB into our culture and has helped us all rally around effecting change within the DEB space such as advancing women in leadership.
“It’s important to foster leadership within women, especially those with careers in tech,
as they are imperative to the success of these industries. Women bring diversity of thought
and innovation to the table, which is key in leadership, and organizations like Chief
and N‑able are helping us pave the way for the next generation of women leaders after us.”
Casandra Brice, VP, Global Customer Success
Here’s how we’ve defined DEB, so that it translates across cultures and backgrounds to reach and resonate with all N-ablites globally:
- Diversity: The presence of difference within a given setting. For us, this means multiple identities are represented here at N‑able.
- Equality: Equal access to opportunities, advancement, and support. We ensure this by acknowledging that one size does not fit all when providing equal access for those who have not historically had it.
- Belonging: When individuals feel included, leveraged, valued, and celebrated for who they are and what they bring to the table. We want N-ablites to feel like an integral part of the company and like their voices and work make a difference.
Our culture at N‑able is one we all shape together, and we are intentional about creating safe spaces for N-ablites to be transparent, and bring ideas and solutions to the table, which helps further us in building a true global culture of belonging. Today and every day, we are proud to support women in tech and help shape the future leaders of the industry.
