Connecting AI to N‑able with MCP
An introduction to the N-able Model Context Protocol (MCP) and how it lets AI tools work directly with your N-able data.
AI assistants are only as useful as the data they can reach. The N-able MCP server gives tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and other MCP-compatible clients a secure, structured way to query your N-able environment, act on it, and fit into the workflows you already run, all through a standard protocol rather than custom code.
In this boot camp, we’ll take you from zero to a working connection: setting up access in the Developer Portal, creating and managing API keys, and connecting an AI tool to the N-able MCP server. From there, live demonstrations will show MCP in action, from asking natural-language questions about devices and customers, to automating routine tasks, to building integrations that stitch N-able into the rest of your toolset.

Beginning his journey in IT in 1999, Paul has accumulated a wealth of experience and expertise that uniquely positions him to understand and address the dynamic needs of businesses.
After 16 years of impactful contributions at two different MSPs, Paul joined N-able in 2015 as a Solutions Engineer. His role evolved significantly over the years, culminating in his current position as a member of the esteemed Head Nerd team since 2022. In this capacity, Paul focuses on N-central, patching, security, automation, and, more recently, cloud management.
Paul’s extensive background and deep understanding of the industry enable him to demonstrate the substantial benefits of N-able products, always striving to enhance business operations and drive success for partners.
Outside of work, Paul is a dedicated family man who loves traveling with his loved ones. He is also a passionate sports fan, enjoying rugby, hurling, football, and baseball both from the stands and from the comfort of his couch at home.
