Time to appraise your MSP business performance for 2022

Now that we have entered the back half of the year, this is a good time to do a self-check on yourself, your team, your customers and your overall MSP business. Six months are gone and six are left to go in 2022, so, in the immortal words of Joey Tribbiani from Friends, I want to ask you: “How YOU doin’?”
It is critical that if you are looking at the first six months of the year and your MSP business is not where you hoped it would be by this time, you need to look inward and reflect on why that is.
- Are you not putting the focus on marketing your MSP and lead gen like you intended to?
- Are you not putting the focus on sales like you intended to?
- Are you still waiting passively on referrals to come your way from existing customers instead of building a marketing plan that aims to proactively drive leads into the top of your sales funnel?
If you are continuing to allow yourself to get drawn into and stuck in the day-to-day grind of the business, you need to figure out a way to get yourself “unstuck”, as it can distract you from focusing on the higher-level planning activities that are necessary to move your MSP business forward.
One suggestion to consider would be attending our N‑able Empower Event that is taking place October 3–5, 2022 in Las Vegas. With over 30 hours of educational content across five tracks, including business, sales, marketing, and security, this will give you the opportunity to step away from the daily minutia of your MSP practice, so you can learn from the best minds in the industry.
The #HeadNerds will be there, and I’ll personally be delivering four business tracks during the event along with special guests—Tracy Trottier—our Global Marketing Manager for MarketBuilder, and Mark Copeman—Founder and President of Wisecurve. We will be reviewing how you can create and implement a “doable” marketing plan for your MSP that is designed to help you generate the leads you are looking for.
Each session will build on the previous one over the two-day main event, so that by the end, you will be equipped with the right tools and strategies to finally get your MSP marketing motion off the ground.
Session 1: Building your MSP Marketing Plan
Lead Generation continues to be the number-one challenge facing MSPs today, but it doesn’t have to be. Join Global Marketing Manager Tracy Trottier and Head Nerd Stefanie Hammond and allow them to demystify the world of sales and marketing and give you a plan for success. Successful lead generation starts with the development of a comprehensive MSP marketing plan that you can execute on. In this first session, we will introduce you to the “30-minute MSP marketing plan” template that you can use to help kickstart your planning process.
Session 2: Building Your Sales Strategy
Marketing is only one component of your overall MSP lead-gen strategy. To garner the best results, you should also consider incorporating a proactive sales outreach strategy as well to work alongside your MSP marketing activities. In this second session, we will review how you can develop a successful outbound appointment-setting motion and provide you with a training program that you can use to help ramp up your own internal Sales Development Representative (SDR).
Session 3: Website Teardowns, Live!
In this 100% interactive session, come and get your website critiqued by Mark Copeman (reviewer of 100+ MSP sites in the past 12 months) and Stefanie Hammond (Head Nerd). Learn how to turn your website into your next salesperson, with a ton of conversion-busting tactics for you to take away and implement immediately that will get you the fresh, new leads you are looking for your MSP.
Session 4: From Marketing Strategy to Execution—Jump Start your Lead Generation with N‑able MarketBuilder
When it comes to MSP marketing, everyone can use a little help. N‑able’s MarketBuilder has been created to ramp up your marketing and lead gen in a matter of minutes. In this final session, come learn how you can customize and deploy marketing campaigns that offer multiple tactics and a variety of content to help you position, market, and sell your services—no matter your level of experience. This is a cannot-miss session!
You will never just “find” the time to build and implement a marketing strategy for your MSP. This is something that you need to proactively “make” the time for in your calendar. And if you seem to be continually interrupted at every turn, then you may just need to leave and get away. Our N‑able Empower Event is a good opportunity for you to step away from your business to focus on yourself and what actions you need to take to push your MSP to its next stage of growth.
So give yourself the gift of time to benefit from our product experts, keynote speakers, our Head Nerd Team, and the 650 other N‑able MSP Partners that will be attending that have the same desires and goals for their MSP as you do—to grow, to be profitable, and to have fun doing so.
